Business Development Specialists cultivate senior level relationships with key personnel in prospects, including meeting with decision-makers in order to gain a full understanding of needs, and to articulate Marsh's full range of services and solutions. They lead the development of proposals and presentations to prospects, negotiate terms and conditions of engagement and transition new accounts to client teams, whilst remaining connected to the organisation in order to win further opportunities and generate client referrals. They must possess and apply a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance, be able to utilise Marsh's national and global resources and have a thorough working knowledge of all relevant legislation, including any new developments.
