Legislation Affecting Australian Citizens
Australians have unique problems due to Australian health legislation relating to Medicare and Lifetime Health Cover. These will affect them on either temporary return or when they eventually return to Australia permanently.
These problems cannot be solved by using a non-Australian expatriate health policy.
The Plan can assist with all these issues by providing:
- Continuity of Australian Health Fund membership for the duration of the overseas posting with no time limits
- Private health cover on temporary visits in Australia including access to any private hospital in Australia
- Re-entry into Australian health system on permanent return with no penalties or waiting times (conditions apply)
