Marsh offers an attractive employee benefits program above
and beyond each employee’s remuneration package. The key
features of the program are summarised below . Different
qualifying periods and eligibility requirements apply to the
different plans.
Marsh’s employee benefits program may be altered from time to time and the Company may amend or discontinue any part of the program.
Share Purchase Plan
There is no better way to be part of a Company than to own a share of it. At Marsh, eligible employees have the opportunity to purchase MMC stock at discounted rates through our global Share Purchase Plan. Employees that choose to take part in the plan have the option of contributing between 1 and 15% of their gross salary, which may be used towards purchasing MMC stock on a quarterly basis at the discounted rate.
Corporate Health Care Plan
To help meet the cost of private health insurance for employees and their families, Marsh provides a corporate health care plan for eligible employees. Employees are invited to join the corporate health care plan after they have been with the Company for a year, or earlier at their own expense. The Company currently meets the cost of “My Choice Hospital Saver” cover with Grand United up to and including family cover. Employees also have the option of taking out ancillary benefits at preferential rates.
Disability Plan
The disability plan is designed to provide financial security to employees who are unable to work as a result of injury or illness. Eligible employees may apply for a disability benefit under the Company’s Salary Continuance Insurance Policy if they have been continuously absent from work due to injury or illness for three months.
Voluntary Personal Accident Protection Plan
Marsh provides employees with the opportunity to purchase accidental injury, trauma, sickness and death by accident insurance for themselves and their dependents.
Annual Travel Card Scheme
Marsh assists eligible employees to purchase annual public transport tickets (where available) in advance at the discounted rate available from the transport authorities. The Company pre-pays the cost of the annual ticket selected by the employee, and the cost of the ticket is repaid through Payroll deduction over the following 12 months. The scheme runs from 1 July to 30 June each year.
Tax-Free Insurance Benefit
The tax-free insurance benefit allows eligible employees to purchase up to $500 per annum worth of insurance from your pre-tax income from Marsh’s Private Client Service Centre.
Discounted Offerings
Employees may choose to take advantage of discounts offered by various suppliers and clients of Marsh. Products which are available to purchase at discounted rated include laptops, electronic diaries, and other electrical equipment for the home.
